Second, an unexpected and delightful milestone ...
It feels like yesterday that I closed Orange Ink Studio and opened Ink Tree Press. It's been a wonderful first year, and I'm looking forward to 2011!
Next, I have to tell you about a wonderful opportunity presented to a handful of very lucky Etsy artisans, myself included. Etsy paired up with HGTV to create a holiday gift-giving program called '15 Fresh Handmade Gift Ideas' where they had 15 gift giving categorys, highlighting a number of handmade items from Etsy sellers, and also 15 DIY projects for handmade holiday gifts. While not all artists invited to participate were able to be featured on the show, you can see them on on HGTV's website RIGHT HERE.

It occured to me that there isn't much of mine hanging in Madison's room, although there are several of my prints in Charlotte's room. I decided I needed to color up some designs to match the quilt I made for her.
These colors wont be offered in my shop, but thought I'd share what I came up with to match her room ... and her personality. Bright, sassy, a bit of punch added in. Now I just need to buy more frames!
They will look nice opposite the Art Wall I put together for her. The large flower canvas is 'Counting in the Garden' by artist Kim Parker, and I lucked out by snagging this on clearance for only $15 at my local HomeGoods. The surrounding artwork was downloaded and printed for FREE from the Feed Your Soul Free Art Project, coordinated by the IndieFixx blog. I really love the variety of artwork available for download, yet they all just work well together. YAY free art!
